Hi all,
Okay, I am so glad this board is up.. But anyhow.
Okay, there are a lot of organizations of and for the blind out there, which you all know. You have stuff like AFB, ACB, and NFB, and then you have guide dog schools-which in my opinion-are organizations. You then have the people who sell things to us, Humanware, FS, etc. etc.
So wondering what all organizations you all have dealt with, or plan on dealing with and why you pick one over the other? Like me, I plan on joining ACB here pretty soon and if yall wanna know the reasons for that, I will do that later. And like sometimes I like FS and sometimes I am more impressed with Humanware, although I have only gotten products from Freedom Scientific at this time.
So give me yall's brainwaves, as I call thoughts sometimes.

Good, I'm glad guide dog schools count. Well I beloung to the Nfb. I don't agree with everything they say or promote, but I think they've done a lot for the blindness comunity and have helped bring us the freedom and equal rights (for the most part) we enjoy today. I am open to other organizations and I'm friends with some Acb members though I don't know much about the Acb except the radio service. And I got Jasmine at the Guide Dog Foundation which is the best guide dog school ever in m my opinion.
well, I have bought some products from aph, the american printing house for the blind... well, for me they are pretty good, their quality is high, and they have pretty much concepts for making their products.
programs in your state? The one in Raleigh which is on Morehead's campus, is okay, but oh it could be much much better in my opinion. and a good deal more organized especially during the first days.

what i said was, yes in my opinion guide dog schools are organizations. and i said to you, krisme, that you know what i think of GDF. Smile
and then I said it's good that members of ACB and NFB can be friends, I really don't see why that wouldn't happen. The organizations basically disagree with each other, but again, it's like this: each to his own. Smile
And then i asked what yall thought of the rehab programs in your state? And the rest of it was in the other post.
